Twelve years of car-wash swirls, gone

A daily driver that had only ever seen a brush wash. Two-stage correction took it from grey haze back to black.

Under the lamps this one was a web of swirls from bonnet to boot, with heavy marring on the doors where it had been dried with a chamois for years. Paint readings were healthy, between 110 and 140 microns, so there was room for a proper two-stage correction.

A cutting stage took out about 90% of the defects, and a finishing polish brought back the depth. The owner chose a sealant rather than a coating, and has since signed up for the monthly maintenance wash.
