Wash and decontamination
Clean, then cleaner than that
How long Half a day
Most paint damage starts at the wash. We pre-soak the car in snow foam to lift the grit before anything touches it, then wash it panel by panel with two buckets, so the mitt never carries dirt back to the paint.
Then comes the part a car wash never does: an iron remover that turns purple as it dissolves brake dust embedded in the paint, a tar remover for the lower panels, and a clay bar that pulls out whatever is left. Run your hand over the bonnet afterwards and it feels like glass.
